Loxahatchee Homes for Sale & Real Estate
Loxahatchee offers buyers something increasingly difficult to find in Palm Beach County: space. The area is known for acreage properties, custom homes, equestrian estates and a more rural setting while still being close to Wellington, Royal Palm Beach and the growing western communities of Palm Beach County.
Buyers can find everything from homes on one-acre lots to large equestrian properties with barns, paddocks and riding facilities, along with newer master-planned communities such as Arden.
Whether you’re looking for room for horses, a workshop, recreational vehicles, a larger homesite or simply more privacy between neighbors, Loxahatchee offers a very different lifestyle from Palm Beach County’s more densely developed communities.

What Buyers Should Know About Loxahatchee
One thing that can be confusing for buyers is that Loxahatchee, The Acreage and Loxahatchee Groves are often mentioned together, but they are not all the same thing.
Loxahatchee Groves is an incorporated town with its own local government, while The Acreage is a large residential area of unincorporated Palm Beach County. Properties throughout the broader Loxahatchee area may use the same 33470 mailing area while offering very different neighborhood settings, lot sizes and association structures. The Town of Loxahatchee Groves maintains its own municipal services and community resources.
Buyers can also choose between very different types of communities. The Acreage is known for large residential lots and a more independent setting, while communities such as Arden offer a traditional HOA, gated access, amenities, walking trails and a community farm. Arden’s official community information confirms its Lakehouse amenities, trail system and five-acre community farm.
For equestrian buyers, areas such as Fox Trail, Deer Run and White Fences offer larger acreage properties and are especially worth exploring because of their proximity to Wellington’s equestrian venues.
Before buying, I would compare lot size, road access, property use, HOA restrictions where applicable, flood considerations, insurance and the location of the property within the broader Loxahatchee area.
